WELCOME TO PAYPOINT

PayPoint is now firmly established in the Republic of Ireland. PayPoint is a leading international provider of convenient payments and value added services to major consumer service organisations in the energy pre and post-payment,  telecoms, cable, housing, waste collection, media, financial services, transport, retail, e-commerce, and public sectors.

PayPoint deliver payments and services through a uniquely strong combination of local shops, Credit Unions, internet and mobile distribution channels and handles over €11 billion annually from almost 570 million transactions annually for more than 6,000 clients and merchants.

Today, the convenience of paying at PayPoint is available across Ireland as a whole. In addition to over 800 established outlets in the North, over 500 agents provide the service to over 100,000 customers per week in the Republic of Ireland. We are steadily adding new clients and agents, and attracting new customers every week.

If you’re an Irish business or organisation seeking cost-effective ways to collect cash payments, we have a proven solution for you. PayPoint already accepts payments worth over €11 billion p.a. for many of the major utility and service companies, local authorities and mobile phone networks in both countries through a network approaching 25,000 agents.

If you’re a retailer looking for ways to boost your business by generating more footfall and increasing turnover, PayPoint's added-value customer payment service and technology really fit the bill.

If you’re a Credit Union looking for ways to offer a better service to your members – look no further.

If you’re a customer wanting a free and more convenient way to pay your regular bills in cash, charge up your meter or top-up your mobile, here you’ll find what, where and when you can pay at a PayPoint near you. Just look for the yellow and purple PayPoint sign in newsagents and convenience stores, most open long hours and many seven days a week. If you are a credit union member why not enquire at your local branch to see if you can carry out all your household  financial transactions with PayPoint each time you visit your credit union.

SPOTLIGHT ON BUSINESS: CREDIT UNIONS
PayPoint’s household bill payment service is an ideal complement to the facilities traditionally provided by credit unions for their members. By offering a more convenient and faster means to pay ESB, Bord Gais, Eircom, UPC, Dublin City Council bills and a range of International payment products at the counter, credit unions can enhance customer service, broaden their product range and attract new members as a result.

Over 130 Irish credit unions have already joined the PayPoint network and the service is proving highly popular with their members. Not only have they found the PayPoint terminal and systems very reliable, but their introduction has reduced administration and associated costs.

George Cantwell of Ballyphenane Credit Union believes PayPoint is a ‘must have’ customer service for credit unions: “Many credit unions are the focal point of their local communities and members expect them to provide high quality, efficient value-added services. For us, and our members, PayPoint has become an indispensable part of our service offering.”

SPOTLIGHT ON BUSINESS: PAYPOINT TERMINAL
Faster, easier to use, and more versatile

After listening to the views of our retail agents, we have invested over €11 million in designing a terminal that will not only make life easier for PayPoint agents everywhere and improve customer service, but also open up exciting new payment business opportunities.

PayPoint’s improved electronic payment Terminal is faster, quieter, easier to use, and include many unique features.

Touch-screen feature One of the main improvements is the addition of an 8cm x 6cm LCD touch-sensitive screen alongside the keypad. This enables the retailer to select required payment schemes, such as mobile phone top-ups, without the need to keep separate barcodes for each network by the terminal and scanning them before each transaction.

Extra payment technology In addition to accepting swipe card, barcoded bill and smart card payments, the new PayPoint terminal also includes a contactless smart card re-charging facility. This will become increasingly important as more and more public transport operators introduce new forms of payment for passengers and enables PayPoint to compete at the forefront of this exciting technology.

INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS

PayPoint can also offer retailers integrated EPOS solutions for mobile top up and the new PPod technology will shortly enable many retailers to also fully integrate the full PayPoint bill payment proposition on their Point of Sale systems.
